I have Daps with older android, and they work fine. This is a dap not a phone. As long as it plays music does a good job and is fairly current. Android changes all the time. It would be like hitting a moving target to have the most current and what would be the point when you can go back a few versions and they are still good to go on most all apps. I care about sound and performance and 11 isn't that old at all.

Completely agree. Keep the new bells and whistles. I care about stability. And older version integration is damn near perfected.
