Could be use as well. Low efficiency with low impedance phones will accelerate battery drain. Try using pure Mango when viable.
Very much doubt thath from my own experience, even with my golds plugged in it lasted around 8,5h in high gain with some albums at 100 volume most at around 92. Mostly around 10 percent an albums some like 15, depending on length. 25% cd Redbook rest various sampling rate 24bit pcm or dsd. For it to consume most in single Album unless he's running akg k1000.
Then perhaps 4h would make sense.
It most definitely is an issue with battery. It may have already gotten fat, with this kind of performance.
I had experience like this when my iBasso dx220 battery was dieing. And even worse on my mom's fiio that she left depleted for a couple of months, last best case 5 min. Even fully charged.

It's maybe a little bit Off-topic, but can someone confirm that the Original black Leather Case isn't 100% black? To me it's I would say a very dark green/black Colour.

Is there any Chance that the Treble (Sharpness) gets smoother lets say after 100h of Burn-In? Which Digital Filter would you recommend to tame the Treble a little bit? I'm using it with Andros 2020 on SE and AMP8 MK2s..

How many hours are on the 240? I don't experience it so I would assume it does as I can't deal with a treble that is tilted up. I normally shoot for 150 to 200 hours for most any dap to start to mature. It takes a while for the caps to really form.

the slow roll-off filters typically have measurable treble roll-off, usually above 15KHz. It's usually between 1 to 3dB depending on the filter iirc.

Is anybody have a problem with dx240 as a eating first 1 second of the every song? My has this problem. Every next song the device is cutting the first second. It's really annoying me.
Have you tried turning the gapless off or on?

This but I always seem to default to filter #5 regardless of board. Just the one that sounds most right to me, personally. @sg2k , If you're in pure Mango, try it in Andriod but as earlier noted, break in does help on this informative player.

Go to Setting -> Audio, turn off Auto Mute.

This prevent the dap from turning off the amplifier once a song stop playing. Starting the amplifier require a bit of time, thats why you notice 1 sec cut off.

Hope this help.
