@Paul - iBasso
Paul, why the case doesn’t fit well?
I can’t normally change volume when it is on the dap(
Some people from another forums mentioned it too...
Guys, Have anybody found proper glass for it? I don’t like films
Agreed the fit is terrible, guess Ibasso Isn’t in the business to make cases :-)

Hopefully there will be a decent after market

Makes sense but would it not exercise only half the circuitry since it’s single ended so not fully burning in all balanced circuitry ?
1. I am having a similar issue with album art labeled cover.jpg. I tried to resize in photoshop to 800 x 800 and still the Mango OS will not recognize after a rescan. What is the file size limit in Mb?

2. This is not an issue with the Android version of Mango which seems to have more options for display. Is the sound quality much different between the Mango OS and Android Mango?

3. When using the DX220 as a transport with optical out turned on using Chord DAVE DAC, there is a very annoying click sound when navigating through songs. This is not very noticeable on my other DAP (QP1R). There is no click/pop when songs play in album order gapless, only when navigating back and forth using optical out. This is also not noted when moving through songs on the internal DAC?

4. When in Android powering off gives definite feedback that powering down is occurring but when in the Mango OS, holding down power button just says good by but how do I know battery will not drain?

5. Is there a difference when scanning the SD card in Android vs Mango OS?

6. Does having WiFi turned in when using Mango OS drain the battery?

So far a great player. Just wish Mango OS had more options than Android version.
Hey tunes,

Can you copy your list of issues/update requests over to the other thread dedicated to FW updates?

Here is the link for convenience: https://www.head-fi.org/threads/dx220-thread-for-software-current-firmware-1-09.906199/

Not sure everyone knows about that thread - I will send Paul email suggesting a link be included in the first post of this thread.

Cheers,
Tim

Hit up Valentin on Etsy under the Valentinium store. He makes all sorts of leather cases and is very open to custom versions of his cases. They are very nice.

Our latest Firmware is ready for OTA update! Connect to the WiFi and enjoy the update, then Yes, Enjoy the Music.

Update takes about 10 minutes so be sure and let it finish. Once downloaded you will need to tap on update.

It will also be available on our Download site for updating by SD micro card.

@Paul - iBasso does the new firmware address the issues with WiFi and android crashes? Cheers

I just updated to the new firmware and MQA masters are now showing the fully unfolded bitrate which is nice, eg. 176khz or 192khz.
However 192khz songs are stuttery.

To my surprise OTA worked a breeze and very quick

still no MAC connection through :frowning2:

Worked flawlessly on my friends unix though

Do you mean it doesn't show up in Preferences under Sound as a player? If doing transfers, you need to install Android for Mac.

OTA failed to update twice... I guess better wait update via micro SD...

We have the download available on our site now. I am not sure why some OTA do not work. We have had reports from different areas of the world that it has worked without problems. I wonder if it might be interference with the signal at times?

We worked on that so hopefully the problem is resolved.

I have notified our software team of this. The DX220 was fully tested by MQA so I am not sure why there would be any stuttering problem on the 192khz as they verified the DX220 as in compliance and working.

iBasso Stay updated on iBasso at their sponsor profile on Head-Fi.
