I don't have DX200 anymore but i seems to be Mango OS the old one(if my memory is good). It was not planned at this time to support new mango OS on DX200 so i assume it is still this one (not the case under Android).

Hey all, me again with another question for the forum.

I switched over to the AMP9 module in September, and oh man is it everything I could ever want in an amp module. I can't believe how much more I am enjoying my music since the purchase. However I have started to notice a microphonic "ping" when the device is bumped, a button is depressed, or my finger slides against the metal of the device. I have seen others remarking on how this is normal for this amp, but exactly how normal and prominent is it? I have noticed the microphonic effect is more prominent in android mode.

Another issue I am having is that between the regular amp1 and amp9, the device boots faster to mango with the original amp. With the AMP9 module, it almost seems as if its pinging the amp a few times--as the green lights will turn on momentarily--and it will push a slight "pop" or the sound of the amp turning on through my headphones, likewise, I am wondering if this is normal at all?

I am running the newest firmware as well as what I believe is lurker0's latest build.

Any suggestions? Full-reset, add the firmwares on again etc? Or is this actually totally normal for the AMP9 and I'm just acting like a worried parent? Any response at all would be appreciated!

Have to say I’m absolutely loving my DX200 and I’ve still not installed any alternative firmware.

At the moment I have everything I need, google play store allowed me to install Qobuz for streaming and HiBy app for playing my own music files that I saved to the DX200 and everything is working great.

Mango mode has froze a few times but nothing serious.

I understand that ibasso have been taking the feedback on the DX200 since it’s initial release and improving the firmware gradually.

I guess I’m wondering if it’s worth installing some of the suggested firmware on here when ibasso seem to have improved the stock firmware to a very decent level.

I've learned to live w/ this popping sound from the very day i got my amp9. I'd lower the volume before i start on my listening session, that is from device off to power on.
with the amp9 for me @ least, this is normal...

I would use my phone. There is a bit of a delay from image to sound. Apps are available for this but in general, the DX200 is more about music than using for videos etc. IMO

Have you tried a factory reset? Good to know it worked. Minidiscs. Never used them but always found them interesting. You still use them?

I don't remeber about factory reset after updating it to android 8. Minidiscs for me is mor like nostalgia thing from highschool, when i played disco when i was a dj. Right now i have sony net minidisc portable and yamaha md4s machines.
