Ordered a unit from local dealer a week ago, and was told this morning that my order was cancel, either change to DX150 or wait the new model will be coming.... So I assumed...

Maybe its just the DX200 coming packaged with a different AMP or AMPs (AMP8 and 9 would be cool) :)

Which dealer was it?

Probably so, but I doubt it though. @Paul - iBasso already mentioned this a few months back when DX200Titanium was released. Dx200 will not be replaced for some years.

Maybe another special version limited run ? And or maybe the dealer is mistaken

I know Amp9 is coming though, and I can not wait

Uh Oh...

Ran into a problem in the Android OS (running the 1st official Oreo release with Lurker's tweak over top). I was listening to Neutron and somehow the volume instantly went to maximum. Besides the nearly rupturing an ear drum and giving me a heart attack, I was worried that I detonated my new CA Solaris'. Thank goodness none of those things happened. So now even with the volume knob turned all the way down, it still outputs full blast volume. This is true of all music playback apps in Android OS. Mango OS functions normally.

I'm not sure what the hell I did. I was walking with the DX200 in my pocket with my hand to keep warm (you know how these harsh Florida winters are). I've been operating under the assumption that maybe I hit something on the touchscreen that made this happen while it was in my pocket. But I don't know.

Anyone have any thoughts? I have to update to the latest Oreo iteration anyway, so maybe just uploading firmware would wipe the problem???

It's been 2 years since dx200 first release, so so this is something to be expected

Before Dx200 released, there was this dedicated thread for it. And it comes like 6 months later.

I would expect similar ? But who know ? My guess is that @Paul - iBasso wouod confirm again what he said a few months back

Does anyone have sound impressions of the new 1.05.036 firmware vs 1.01.006?

It seems there has been less variation in the actual sound when changing versions on Oreo 8.1 vs the sometimes dramatic changes to bass quantity or soundstage in previous Android 6.1 versions.

I have not noticed any change in sound signature (using Mango mode)

Only difference I found so far is the speed for scanning music library. Much quicker now

I'm using 14% an hour. Is that normal? I am using the latest firmware, IT01's and playing standard def FLAC files. Does Lurker0's firmware add on increase battery life?

I guess that is normal
Never realy measured but I think I get 5 or 6 hours out of one charge
Not sure if Lurker add on improves battery life

.....for me five to six hours is enough

Where does iBasso get 9 to 10 hours from?
Where did you get 9-10 hours for DX200 from? I never heard about, unlike for DX150. 2x desktop grade Sabre DACs alone are hungry. Though you can find my posts in this thread regarding conditions for 9+ hours playback for DX200, and check it yourself.

Thanks. Where does iBasso get 9 to 10 hours from? Perhaps Paul can let us know?
iBasso say this in the product manual for the DX200... "4400mAh 3.8V Li-Polymer battery (Play time vary with AMP card)" So it depends on which amp module you are using and a few other variables.

Another thing that makes the playtime vary is the bit rate / sample rate of the music. DSD tends to suck the battery really fast due to the cpu use it requites, while 44.1 KHz/16 bit CD quality gives me much more battery play time.
