You could use that with the AMP1 using the 2.5 TRRS for the balanced amp section or the 3.5 TRS for the single ended, which would convert your balanced headphones to single ended. You could use the 3.5TRS with the AMP2, which is a single ended amp. So you have the option but no, you do not use the 2.5 and 3.5 at the same time.Paul,
Can you (or anyone here) tell me if this interconnect cable will work with the DX200 AMP1? Didn't realize this would have both 3.5mm and 2.5mm connections. Do I use both at the same time, or can I use either?
From another thread: "What you bought was an A&K style balanced out cable to dual 3 pin XLR. The 2.5mm 4 pin has the (L-,L+,R-,R+) connectors for pins 2 & 3 on the XLR. The 3.5mm has shared GND pins to the XLR's Pin 1."
* To clarify: this will be going from the DX200 to a balanced headphone amp.
Edit: Just tried the 2.5mm cable only. There was A LOT of hissing. Think I bought the wrong cable...

Could anyone briefly compare DFR to DX200? It sounds like they are cut from the same cloth. I'm enjoying my DFR and not sure if DX200 is worth the upgrade.

I'm trying out the evaluation version of the Neutron music app on my DX200. I love the sound, but it crashes about every 20 minutes or so. Does anyone know why, or if there's anything that I can do to remedy the problem? I'm running the latest version of the "official" iBasso firmware.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Because neutron free version is limited once you use over 7 days. It will stop every 20 minute like that.
You need to purchase from their website to activate.
I recommend you to use Lurker0 FW. It includes google playstore which is easier to buy and install.

Thank you for your reply.
I just downloaded the app yesterday, and I had problems with crashes immediately, well before the trial period expired. Is this normal with the trial version of Neutron?

Maybe they change how evaluation version limit already. You can test with your smartphone whether it is same result or not.

No, it is not normal! It seems something wrong with the latest build: I have a purchased vesion installed, the previous build, but PlayMarket can't update it, trying to download forever.I just downloaded the app yesterday, and I had problems with crashes immediately, well before the trial period expired. Is this normal with the trial version of Neutron?

From the description you quoted, you should connect both 2.5 and 3.5 mm to AMP1 at the same time. 3.5mm jack here connects only to the ground (common) pin. Then it should work as intended.Paul,

You are correct. If going to an amp a ground is needed. Some may have missed that it was going to an amp. From the description you quoted, you should connect both 2.5 and 3.5 mm to AMP1 at the same time. 3.5mm jack here connects only to the ground (common) pin. Then it should work as intended.

I did it, Don't know how, but I did. Thank you Paul.It does not show a Windows 10 driver but it will work. We have it on Windows 10 here. The installation directions that come with the download have to be followed step by step. I know, when we first started using it I got it wrong a few times and then followed the directions as I supposed to.
