It depends if you use Amp 1 balanced or SE vs Amp 2 I'd think. All the comparisons I've seen are between Amp 1 in SE and Amp 2... But not Amp 1 balanced vs Amp 2 for some reason. Haven't gotten any answers on comparisons there.

Not really sure what answers are you still looking for? Amp1 SE and Amp2 have the same power rating, the difference is in sound coloring (sound sig). If you want more power, Amp1 BAL is the answer. I covered it here https://twister6.com/2017/05/27/ibasso-amp2-module-for-dx200/

My noobery leaves me with many questions!

From what I had gathered, the balanced output on the DX200, with it's 2x power over the SE connection, had some observable benefits, I guess depending on the person listening and the IEMs and/or headphones in use and the other usual million things that can affect your listening experience. Some claimed better bass, clarity, soundstage, less peaky treble, etc from balanced. As such it would seem like a slightly different signature than SE, so I figured there would be more comparisons between Amp 1 balanced vs Amp 2.

Just another newbie question. My understanding is that Mango OS does play bit perfect, DSD, etc. But Android does not because of a limitation within the OS to 16/44Khz. Is that correct?
Does this applies also to Mango for Android (For example, it does display 24/192Khz for my HD FLAC files)?
If that's the case, Lurker0 FW will solve that (+Google Play which is a boost), correct?

No. In both modes MangoPlayer sends bit perfect sound to the DAC, at any supported resolution and format, presuming EQ is off.

Thanks a lot for the answer Lurker. I think I will try your FW anyway. I am used to PowerAmp.

I am used to PowerAmp.
If you find PowerAmp compatible with USB Audio, please let me know, and I'll add support for it to "Smart release of Wakelock" and "Active player" functions.

I am currently using a Beta versión on my phone and at Alpha -2 says that HD on internal DAC and USB DAC supported on Android 6.0 up to 24/192 via Audiotrack ouput

I found some bug with the latest firmware. When I using mango player in android mode or tidal sometimes the song will pause randomly. I don't have any problem with the previous firmware. Please fix this.

I have given this information to our software team. Have you tried a factory reset on the DX200?

I have the same issue. The play button is effectless to resume it. The only way is : light on the screen, and use play button on the screen.

Yes this is exactly what happened to me too.

Btw, my AMP2 just arrived today, loved it :smile_phones:
