If its image is supported by available Rockchip tools, just like DX80/90/50, modding is not a problem without rooting, and, moreover, it even could be rooted this way. Let's see the first firmware image to become available for downloading

Good to know this! looking forward to flash your mod!
It is not impossible to alter Android sound system to allow any application to avoid downsampling.

I see. ibasso also reply in facebook as well. that would be awesome.

newer android versions support up to 96khz at system level don't they? so long as the hardware does at least...

I once wrote email to neutron player. They said android support playback but everything will resample to 48kHz no matter what format even 44.1 or 96 or 192. They also claim that UAPP android output is also downsampling to 48kHz as well. Only connecting to external dac make it bit perfect.

Hmm... sorry... trying to wrap my head around this... does that mean Android based system (such as ONKYO DP-X1/a or Pioneer XDP100/300R) down sample the audio files?

First of all I should say:

Oh my God! That cat is a realy great sorcerer! :D

And the second thing:
arround 900$ is quite acceptable. Now everything will depends on how dx200 show up with it's SQ. Can it beat Q1pr, match Opus 2 and breathing down LPG neck?

Go, ES9028pro, go.:beerchug:

Opus 2 is using ES9018K2M which is the older generation :D

From what I know, Stock app has no problems. Only using third party app like neutron or other apps that not apply API of DAPs will resampling to 48 kHz

Not only that, 3rd party apps are more prone to bugs and or distortions and often degrade the listening experiences in most of the Android based devices. Even in smartphones. It is due to the vastness of Android OS (audio limitations) and 3rd party programmer in related to hardware implimentations. So far, the only company that is doing so well with android OS and hardware implementations alone is SnapDragon, and they recently released their own Audiophile DAC + codec in a package with their new processors. HTC 10 is using this design and so far there is 0 bugs or sound degradation from my experiences

I know. I want to use stock app if possible as well. But most of time the stock app's interface is not really attractive compared to using third party.

Moreover, I never saw stock app that can play home streaming music from NAS/ UPNP router. There are only neutron, uapp and hiby music that obtain that capability which causes me to need them. If stock ibasso app can play upnp, it would be perfect and awesome. I can totally forget all third party app.

Wow, 6Vrms BAL and 3Vrms SE - we are talking some serious power to drive even demanding full size cans!  Let's say at 16 ohm load, 6Vrms => 2.25W, 3Vrms => 563 mW.

Also, doubling the voltage in BAL output (in comparison to SE) indicates a proper head-amp architecture.

Yeah, that is impressive. How long does it last though :D

This I imagine would be their top spec amp module (with reduced play time).
