How's the OS now? Any problems?

I know in the beginning there were some complaints, but how have the newer firmwares been? Any bugs? Is the operation smooth?

Thank you for any insight.

DX 150 thread shows Amp6 included. Where does Amp6 fit in the scheme of current amps?

Bumping the question as I didn’t see any answer :p
AMP6 doesn’t seem to be available standalone, but only with DX150

I’d venture AMP6 is a refreshed AMP1 or AMP3 for DX150, just a theory...

At this time AMP6 won't be available by itself. It is totally different from AMP1 and AMP3.

iBasso Stay updated on iBasso at their sponsor profile on Head-Fi.

Thanks for clarifying Paul.
Any reason DX200 users can’t enjoy AMP6  ?

Well, in theory you can actually buy AMP6, though it will cost you $499, but you will get DX150 as a free bonus with it :D

Do they support dx200? They never answered on my email and didn't see it on compatibility list.
it's working for me but can be laggy

it's really smooth on my LG V30 though

Would love to try it, but I think I need Google play services for app legality check, so sideload won't work :frowning2:

Just use Lurker0's mod to give it a try. It's easy to install & if for some reason you want back to default iBasso it's an easy restore.

Recommended settings for UAPP 4.1.5:
  • Internal audio driver: HiRes Direct driver.
  • HiRes audio:
    • clear all in "HiRes driver flags",
    • set "HiRes driver audio format" to "32-bit",
    • set "Bit perfect" to On.
  • System: uncheck "Auto scan on start-up". This is to make UAPP working faster.
It plays bit perfect PCM media files up to 24/192.

It tries to play DSD via conversion to PCM 32/176.4. which is done very slow. I'll try to contact developers to implement native DSD.

It seems, with HiRes driver, support for USB DAC is broken: UAPP does not see it inside DX200 anymore.

At least you can use UAPP for Tidal and other PCM music playback bit perfect without USB Audio app.
