I think the reason why dx200 provides mango os is for preparing R&D for DX120 which is non-android based. Dx200 is expected to use android as a main os.

Hi guys I am considering buying some aeon flow closed cans. Will the 200 have enough power to drive them ? I ask as I vaguely recall a review somewhere that the aeon may not be suitable unless used with am amp

I use the DX200 with the Aeon Open and don't have any problems, very good synergy in my opinion. I have never been past 115/150. Very good dynamics and impact and as usual with the DX200, more than enough details.

I don't see why these poverful DACs are necessary!

Edit: I meant amps :)

I think that thought is completely incorrect. Mango mode is for the purest musical experience without all the android stuff having to be run.

I only use mango mode and much prefer the sound quality. I have no problems with the UI either.

FWIW, I use an APK backup app to send the desired app to my computer where I copy it to an SD card and then install on my DX200. Saves having to search for a mirror site.

You can use the balanced adapter to 2.5 TRRS and use the burn in cable. I found that for me the AMP4 sounded good right away and refined at around 150 or 200 hours.
Thanks Jamato8.

Comparing Amp4 and Amp5 on sound alone, will it be sufficient if I've Amp4 and stuck with it or does Amp5 provide any different experience? I'll be mainly using IEMs.

Just curious, why Qobuz?

I have both the Aeon Flow closed and open - and use it with Amp 4 (I got a Mr. Speakers to 4.4 mm cable from Moon Audio). While Amp 5 has enough juice for the Aeon's - Amp 4 has way more power - and the best synergy in my opinon. First thing I noticed with Amp 4 is how precise the imaging is and - as a result - how holographic the soundstage is. The warmth helps offset Aeon closed cooler tonal signature - and add some mid bass, which I think is necessary for the closed especially.

TLDR; Amp4 and Aeon Flows are a great pairing!

i talked with paul before and he said DX200 have '' DTA '' that is Bit perfect in android.. what happen here?
The DX200 has bit perfect. Just because a company puts out a graph like this doesn't make it fact.

Thanks for the reply. I would be using them with Amp1 as i dont really have ant plans to upgrade the 200

Just curious, why Qobuz?

Tidal is excellent on my 200, but on my main rig I am getting a lot of issues with tracks skipping a second or two before the end of the track and going on to the next track. I just want to give Qobuz a quick go to see if its the same with them . If there is no way to get Qobuz on the 200 then its a non starter

Forgive me I am no technical I am afraid so this sounds promising but not clear to me. I dont use an SD card I just save it to the DX200. I thought it had to be a mirror file?
