Got AMP4, AMP5, and both adapters in the mail! The wait is over for me!

Listening to AMP4, I much prefer it's mids over AMP3. Better synergy with the MDR-Z1R. Mid-bass has more volume, which can be a tiny bit more than needed for the Sony's. It's very punchy and satisfying though! However, I might prefer AMP3's tighter mid-bass and meaty sub. Treble sounds smoother and airier. Definitely feels larger than AMP3. I can see myself preferring these for classical.

AMP5 sounds like an improved AMP2. Not as smooth as I thought it would be, though that's probably a good thing since AMP2 can sound muddy and unrefined at times.

Basically, everyone's impressions are on point lol. The adapters plug in very well too!

Congrats !

Interesting about AMP5. I find AMP2 can be easily discounted but it has its own qualities and can have interesting synergies. In particular it has better depth and dynamics than AMP1, and is more musical... what you loose in soundstage width, separation and detail you gain elsewhere that's the beauty of amp rolling with DX200 :D

My own all time fav is amp4 so holographic... I look forward to getting an upgrade balanced cable for my newly acquired LCD-i4, it will be a killer combo IMHO. I don't get the single ended only by Audeze... no matter what high grade quality it is....

Edit : Ordered both CA01 and CA02 adapter, forgot to do that when ordering AMP4...

Hi guys, probably a dumb question: I just got my dx200 today and had a hard time making it appear in my PC (macbook pro 2012 version) using USB connection. My micro sd card is still on the way, so just want to transfer some songs from my PC to dx200 to start listening. However, after trying the down drag and select USB connection as transfer files, it never appeared in my PC. I tried using it as a DAC, and it worked fine. Not sure if it's because I don't have a micro sd card plugged in? Any help would be very much appreciated!
