Hello I would like to ask your suggestions, I currently have DX150 with amp8 and it04...do you think its better to replace the iem or upgrade my DAP?what do you guys suggest for a better sound

If you want a big difference you need to replace your iem. No matter what people tell you in this thread the difference between DX208 and DX158 is not that big. Maybe wait for for DX220? But nobody has heard it yet or they don't want to talk about it..

If you like the signature of the IT04 you need to pay premium for an upgrade. Maybe you just need/want a different signature?

Hi all, I just picked up a 2nd hand DX200 via someone selling one in the forums. It’s in excellent condition and everything seems to be working fine.

I’ve had a brief listen and it sounds excellent. But I noticed it is running very old firmware, version 1.05.036.

I noticed earlier in the thread someone mentioned you need to update the Android first, so I’ve updated to the most recent Android package listed on the iBasso downloads page, version 8.1.0. That worked fine.

But, when I try to update to the latest DX200 firmware package I get this error occurring while it is running the update:
A1F7B800-C95C-4310-8C76-715517F5D417.jpeg

Not sure what I’m doing wrong? I downloaded the 2nd most recent firmware as well to see if that would work but get the same thing?

Really? On their website “downloads” page there’s DX200 Android updates and DX200 firmware update packages. The most recent firmware update I see is V2.10.215 from 20 June 2018. Wouldn’t that be the latest, or is the Android update package all you need?

I suppose the numbering started again with 1 because of the move from Android 6.1 to Android 8.1

I agree though that for the user it probably would have been easier if they had moved to version 3.x for the Android 8.1 line.

Maybe their Repository isn't setup well for that.
