AMP4 can't disappoint me, it's my favorite and who's to say AMP5 tops it when I get the balanced cable for i4?

Can you explain the use of line out? What is the difference with balance and unbalanced out?

So with line output you bypass amp section so you need an external amplifier?

I’m using mainly line out from ibasso, has amp2, now testing amp5 and finding it very very bright compared to amp1, which is still my favourite.
Do you think amp5 will improve with more burn in time?

Of all the things that come to mind for AMP5, bright is the last that comes to mind from my experience, which headphone/IEM are you using? And good question from @rick81 why lineout : you're running the DX200 in a stack or standalone?

I don't see why they would have stopped production. They might be out of stock, but that doesn't mean that they're not making the units anymore. It's one of the most popular products.

I got the confirmation from Ibasso that they will no longer produce AMP 4.

I’m using line out to feed my Focal car audio as well as Rogue Audio Sphinx V2 home amplifier. Dx200 with amp1 is sounding phenomenal in that setup, but amp5 much brighter. Gain is always on low.
