DUNU DN-2000J -- More Than Evolution?

listening to fix you by coldplay - when the guitars kick in, it becomes a muddled mess on triple.fi's or IE80's but the HD 600's handle it well. this is playing a 320kbps MP3' from Google Play Music. really hoping these Dunu's can come close to replicating that. anyone here with the 2000J's use HD600's for open eared headphone use at home?

No, but I've owned the TF10 and I have the Philips Fidelio X2

just returned my IE-80's to Amazon and ordered the Dunu DN-2000j's for $330 bucks, only $40 more than the senns cause they had tax on them, the dunu's did not. very excited to try these out on Monday.

Dang, that was imho way too much you paid for the IE 80. There are so many better headphones for $290.
The DUNU is much better than the Senn and I think you'll love it if the sound signature suits your tastes.

And by the way, I've also got an HD 600 and it is among my favourite headphones (although I've also got the HD 800). But I won't compare them with the DUNU as I've noticed that many people differ in perception of iems vs full-sized headphones. But in my perception, the DUNU has got a wide soundstage with good depth.

Well, in Germany they cost between €180 and €230 incl. taxes, so not more than ~$260.
Imho that's a bit too much.

HiFi,
I have the HD600,HD580 with a silver cable,if I'm not using the Stax setup,I always grab one the HD's,one of the finest headphones made-& comfortable too...

I almost bought the IE80's ,but read some negative views on them, and also, some problems with fake copies floating around Amazon.

I have both - what do you want to know?

how do you feel they compare sound signature wise as far as detail, speed, bass, soundstage? i know they can't be as good as the HD 600's but the overall sound signature is what i'm looking for.

really not sure how anybody can say these little cans don't have enough bass. it's jus this delicious punchy goodness. been listening to everything from pop to rock to breakbeats to rap. switching tips around i think i like the stock silicone tips with the rubber bass rings installed. using the blue spacer rings was nice for some tracks but felt it was too much bass at times.

listening to Lorde's 400 Lux the bass extension is pretty ridiculous. so tight yet so lush at the same time. how can you say no?
