Review just out, with comparisons to the ie800 ($700), RE-600 ($200), IT03 ($260), New Primacy ($300) and CA Nova ($500). I also put in an order for the dual flange Spinfits but they haven't arrived so I'm just using the grey silicone tips, fit fine and sounded well balanced to me, maybe I got lucky. Also if anyone knows how to link specific reviews, please let me know!

Sorry for the wait guys - you can find my review on the DK-3001 here

Put simply - it would be one of the best IEMs I've heard this year. Highly impressed!

Nice, thanks for the review. I like the look of that upper mid/lower treble transition as I think that was the main rough spot for me on 2000J. hopefully we can get your impressions & measurements of the 4001 too whenver that comes out.

(btw your test tracks link 404's on the new forum)

Why is it that my review looked fine last night (I spent hours trying to format it properly), and today the photos don't fit.

<rant coming>
This new software sucks - NOTHING is easy any more. You have to spend hours getting the simplest jobs done.

Sorry - needed to get that off my chest.

DK-3001 better build, better cables, accessories about even. With the FLC8S of course you get the tuning options. Fit and comfort goes to the FLC8S, but saying that, the DK-3001 isn't really bad - just not as good as it could be. Sonically - although the FLC8S is still a very good IEM (especially for the price), I'd take the DK-3001, pay the extra money, and not look back. For my preferences, it really does sound "that good". Most accurate descriptor would be that it is almost a more mid-centric Andromeda. Fantastic extension, and really good balance. May not tick everyone's boxes - but definitely does for me.
