Due to the recent price drop of the DT-990 250 ohm Pros, I am seriously considering picking up a pair. However, I have no way of knowing how good it will sound on my setup, as I have only ever listened to them at a meet. Can anyone tell me a bit about how it sounds with the Schiit Asgard 2? Thanks!

I don't see why the Asgard shouldn't be able to run the 250 ohms 990s! I have the Magni with the 990s 600 ohms and they seem to have no issue powering them, sure, you have to push the volume knob quite a bit more than Grados SR80s or AKG Q701s, but the most I've gotten to was 3 o'clock (goes to 6 o'clock). Never read any say it couldn't run the 990s adequately.
As for sound of 990 + Asgard ,since its specs say +/- 0.1dB from 20 to 20000hz, so it shouldn't impart much coloration. All should be good!
