Have you tried the Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter with power going to the iPad?

Not yet. I am inclined to order the newer adapter if others also suggest this be the way to go.

Could you post a link to the lightning camera cable you are using? I had the 5v power supply on to the U2P when I tried.

Thanks. It does specify USB 3.0, so that is a potentially useful data point.

Sorry, just got a chance to test this a few minutes ago, everything works fine.

Received my 3pcs TXCO version. First impressions verses the regular douk u2 pro are find a slight quality increase, not as shouty and gets some of those fast cymbals right where it kind of sounds like there's an unnatural break when it gets super fast. maybe 3-5% better across the board with maybe better dynamic range.

Can confirm that a lightning to type-B midi cable also works. Much cleaner without the dongle.

I got the same lightning to USB 3.0 adapter you posted but the U2P still does not work with this adapter. All my USB cables are USB 2.0. So is the stock USB cable coming with the U2P.

If possible, could you help testing whether USB 3.0 vs 2.0 cable matters? I am using coax connection between the U2P and my Airist R2R DAC and am not sure if there is a compatibility issue there. Thanks.

When I use my adapter in Roon I choose listen on this device, can't remeber what your using, sorry!

I don't believe I own any 3.0 cables besides the one for my iFi Zen DAC

Thanks. That rules out the USB 2.0 cable being part of the problem. I'm using Apply Music as source.

@TomNC. It only matters whether U2Pro is powered from the external power adapter or draws a power from USB bus. The later doesn't work with Apple devices.

You can use 2.0 cables, U2Pro only works in 2.0 mode.

I just tried Apple music using my adapter to the U2. At first it did not work, sound was coming out of my iPad.

I then reconnected it and Sound started following to my DAC.

I then noticed that one of two tapas down on the iPad volume level and nothing was audible, Soo double check your volume control on the iPad, and try connecting it after something is playing.

As you can see in the pic just basic generic cable, sounds very good!

The latest one v1.3.1 has LVDS (HDMI). Your links looks line that:

I came across this today - Leaf Audio CMD-17 - w/ the options of upgraded clocks - valid alternative to the Douk since the upgraded versions are sold out?
