I would very much like someone to exhaustively review and expound on the nuances of the different sound signatures between the fakies and the real ones. Personally I like fake AND real but not TOO fake. Maybe a nice firm B or better.  Although I wouldn't kick a cute little perky Class A amp outta bed if you know what I mean.

But, why would you want to bother with a fake product knowing it cost you the same as the real thing?
 
I actually wouldn't want to use it knowing the battery might be cheap and explode.
 
I bought a generic one for my laptop and it died within a month.

My fake is almost 4 months old and still going strong. And Amazon totally refunded my money and told me not to bother sending it back so it was FREE.

It kinda confuses me that the title says "FiiO E10 USB DAC Headphone Amplifier by GSI". WTH is GSI? Shouldn't it say "FiiO E10 USB DAC Headphone Amplifier by FiiO"?
 
Also, it says it's sold by Micca Distributor and Fulfilled by Amazon. I'm not exactly sure how Amazon's fulfillment program works. Does that mean if I select a seller from the list (which is fulfilled by Amazon) I will certainly get a product from that seller, or do they mix the products from different sellers that are part of their fulfillment program? I'm asking, because I read someone claiming something like that on the previous pages. It doesn't make much sense to me, because different sellers have different prices etc. so it might not be very practical to mix them. I realize this might not be the best place to ask about Amazon practices (as opposed to asking that question on Amazon

), but I was just wondering if anyone has some experience with this.

I just recently bought an E6 from a website called BestOfferBuy.com and the box had no serial number on it so I'm trying to determine whether it is a counterfeit or not. I've previously bought an E5 from the same website in 2010 and it had a serial number but this E6 I just bought this month 2012 does not.

These are a few pictures that I have taken of the E6 in order to make determining the authenticity of it a little easier for you guys. I've been fighting with BestOfferBuy's customer support for about a week now and it's getting me nowhere and I just want to know at this point whether it's real and BestOfferBuy is an authorized Fiio reseller or whether I should get a refund and take my business elsewhere.
 
Any help or insight you guys are able to give me would be greatly appreciated

sorry, we don't know who supply to Bestofferbuy, they are belong to unknown retailer, and the photos is not so clear to identify it.

GSI is supplied by one of our customer in U.S, maybe they have not change the photo.

Thank you for your help anyway. I am at least 90% certain it is a fake, so I am going to keep it and purchase an authentic E6 from Headphone Bar and then do A/B tests on them to compare the similarities and differences. In the meantime, anyone who is looking for an E6 do not buy from BestOfferBuy. You will most likely get a fake product.

Hopefully the system that brings and checks the numbers you rub off are done intelligently so it won't be easy to fake the numbers
 
For example each E6 gets numbers xxx-xxx-xxxxx with the first 6 numbers telling the system it's an E6 and the last 5 being the number of production it would be. Those are insanely easy to fake.....

Admit it, you've lived with that perky Class A in your bedroom for long enough, and now want a nice, mature, even-toned Class D, like the NAD M51.

When I sold products through amazon, our company could get fake sellers' stores put on hold within 72 hours. The product may not be identical to the original Fiio product here, but I have to wonder how much work Fiio are actually doing here to shame Amazon - have you guys considered posting an open letter to Amazon demonstrating how many times you've contacted them and been ignored?
 
These packages only need another iteration of work by the knock-off providers and they'll be identical to the current iteration. The $ value retailed at through Amazon is low, sure, but out here in Australia they cost $45 a hit (or $60 at some retailers) and there's no guarantee of genuine product there either! 
 
 
I can't help wondering if the factory making them is knocking the product off through another channel, as is fairly common in Asia. Having so many Fiio products compromised so well at any one time is a surprise when other manufacturers are not targeted thus - Fiio are hardly SanDisk!
 
Something is a bit off here (in my own, limited value opinion).
