I require absolute silence before I can fall asleep. I usually have to wear ear plugs if my jerk neighbors upstairs are going at it.

I don't wear, nor have I ever worn, headphones to bed.

Kicked the headphones out of bed.

Its not a big deal for me. I sleep listening to music through the IE8 every night ever since i got them. Actually i tell you its easy to sleep with the IE8 even when you are lying on your side as the IE8 have got a flat backside and they fit so flush. And i turn on sleep timer on the player so that i wake up in the morning only to see that the earphones are there in my ear with nothing going on. So far it has done no damage. I enjoy my music the most in bed in my quiet dark room in the dead of night. I never get so emotional like that throughout the rest of my day. Love it that way..

AD700s are a great substitute for a pillow.
