When I'm on the bus around town, I always hear these chavs swearing continuously. There isn't a single sentence that's clean and these guys are in their mid teens to mid twenties. To me, that's just unsophisticated, unrefined, totally useless to ones' vocabulary and very low class. One does really wonder what their parents have done, or haven't done. Do swear, but do so with a bit of restraint. It gets a bit dull after awhile and loses its punch. Some people I've come across use swear words extremely effectively and I really don't mind because it injects a bit of spark into a statement. Slang is different. Slang is not swearing, but that's obvious isn't it ![]() |
