My last set of headphones got destroyed at a gig, so I thought I might as well upgrade a bit.
I've been looking at Technics RPDJ-1200, Sony V700, and some Audio Technica models, but can't seem to be satisfied with any of them. Any suggestions?

Some reviewers complain about them being really stiff and uncomfortable, is that really the case or they just being ridiculously picky?

Some people say that after some usage... they become more comfy.

hd25-1 ii is probably best for isolation/durability & though some say they are uncomfortable if you stretch the headband out a bit so they dont clamp they are as comfy as any other on ear phones

Another vote for hd 25 1 , they are made for this kind of use. They are indestructible(very important), stick to your head however you put them on, light(140g), very punchy and balanced with one of the best isolation. Beatmatching in any ambience will be very easy ......

SRH750 DJ is a pretty nice sounding, well constructed 'phone, but isolation is not very good on it. I would go with Sennheiser HD25 - rock solid build, great isolation and reasonably good comfort if you stretch them well for a few days before use (put them on the original box, or a basketball or something).
