Could someone provide another link for this theme ....being trying for the past 2 days ? ....thanks

Thanks for pointing it out. Tested it after I saw your post and it failed like 3/10 times. Dunno what problem dropbox has.
Reason why I switched to mediafire for the new release.

Looks good...now I don't feel quite so bad for neglecting my list theme. Interested to see how you deal with the quick menu, I've been drawing blanks on that one.

Well I looked at your design as a reference but then the newer firmware has added more menu items. Its kinda difficult to squeeze in so much stuff into 145x145-ish image without making the icons and text smaller and unreadable. I tested a hack and it somewhat worked though: If you use larger (wider and taller) images for the menu, the rendering starts at the same place but the extra stuff also gets rendered to the right and the bottom. However, this solution won't give a centre-aligned menu like the current circular one.
Another solution I tested was to show 5 menu items at a time. The items get rolled over as the user scrolls.
Honestly I am satisfied with neither of the above solutions.
Will try to think of something else or probably refine the implementations of the above.
Anyways, ideas are always welcome.

Well that's because of the font I used. The font that comes with stock firmware from Fiio supports all the languages. The only way to get around this would be to change back to the stock font or any other font that supports the complete character set. But that would require you to unpack the firmware package (x3.fw), replace the font file (fonts/msyh.ttf) and then pack it back again.
