Hi guys. Any idea where i can get a couple of 2-pin 0.78mm connectors, a few splitters, and some 2.5mm or 4.4mm balanced connectors for some cardas clear light cables i want to make?
I seem to findlimited selection of parts on cable manufacturers sites. Don't want to go through ebay or aliexpress.
Preferably in Europe.

Guys, I need help with my Fostex x Dekoni Blue headphones. They are not giving sound on the right side (pretty common problem for T50RPs as per google). I use them as my daily drivers so looking for a way to remove the 3.5mm jack from the left cup (which seems to be the culprit) and hard-wire the cable to it to remove any potential play between the cable and the connector. Are there any guides/videos/resources I can follow to do this? I might as well also upgrade the cable while I'm at it. Please advise. Or if there are other (better) alternative solutions I can follow, please suggest.

I converted my T50RP MKII over 4 pin tinyXLR sockets. I left the headband wire in place so I can run them either as single entry when I'm out and about or use dual entry when I'm at home. The sockets and cable plugs are wired accordingly so you can't just use an Audeze wired cable on them.

This looks awesome. From where can I order parts for this? I might go for the dual entry one as I keep my cans at home.. any resource/guide I can follow to do this on my own?

I used a pair of Rean RT4MP sockets and Rean RT4FC plugs you would have to locate these or an equivalent from a supplier in your country. Others have also used 3.5mm TRS instead of tinyXLR and that is a good choice too as there is not a lot of room for the tinyXLR socket.

This video shows a T50RP conversion and I imagine there are others out there if you want to use 3.5mm instead.

What do you think is better mini XLR or dual entry 3.5?

I've been planning to do my first mod on a pair of grado sr60es and I wondered what connecters people thought where better XLR or dual entry 3.5.
Some background on my loose plan, I want to be able to use ballanced cables as I prefer the sound and which ever I choose I'd also like to do on some of my other headphones (notably my dt880s and my hd 280 pros) so if I commit to dual entry it might be more challenging for my other sets. I also intend to make the cables my self as it's cheaper.
At the minute I'm leaning towards dual entry but that's purely an aesthetic option and I'd prefer the more practical option.
Many thanks!!

I'm planning to build a DIY 4.4mm male to dual 3-pin male XLR cable using leftover Canare L-4E6S from a previous cable project. Below is the wiring diagram I plan to use, but I'm unsure how to split the outer jacket of the Canare L-4E6S to access the shield for grounding. Please provide guidance.

4.4mm TRRRS:
  • Tip → Left Hot (L+)
  • Ring 1 → Left Cold (L-)
  • Ring 2 → Right Hot (R+)
  • Ring 3 → Right Cold (R-)
  • Sleeve → Ground/Shield (to both XLR Pin 1s)
  • XLR Left:
    • Pin 1: Ground (connect to 4.4mm Sleeve)
    • Pin 2: L+ (connect to 4.4mm Tip)
    • Pin 3: L- (connect to 4.4mm Ring 1)
  • XLR Right:
    • Pin 1: Ground (connect to 4.4mm Sleeve)
    • Pin 2: R+ (connect to 4.4mm Ring 2)
    • Pin 3: R- (connect to 4.4mm Ring 3)
