Yep those are different. Mine look like the latter pic. My serial # is 47XX if that helps.

looks exactly like mine, and FYI my serial number is 49xxx\
and yeah, I think the one like OP's 701 is a newer batch, because the one that has old logo only has 7 bumps on headband.

My serial number is 46xxx and I to have the one with just the letters. ^^
