Did Sennheiser just reveal the Orpheus successor?

I knew they were releasing something but 2 maybe 3 new flagships?! I'm hopeful for a new 800. Unless of course they have a spare Orpheus laying around, I accept donations

That's a bit disappointing to me, although it was to be expected: The Orpheus successor is a luxury product and unaffordable.

Unfortunately, Sennheiser may see the collector pricing of the original Orpheus as an indicator of where to price the new model. When people are paying $30,000 for an old Orpheus system as a statement, it makes perfect sense to price a new version of the legend accordingly and cover it in marble. Hopefully the sound will back up the price, at least, and maybe we'll get a standalone headphone-only version for a more reasonable price.

Meh.

Stax, innovating electrostatic headphones for 70 years.

Sennheiser, once. Maybe now twice.

Sennheiser was the largest headphone company in the world until Beats came along. When they make an electrostat, they go all in with plenty of R&D money and expertise. The old Orpheus is rightfully revered, and this new model likely will be as well.
