Thanks Kali! So I guess these aren't.
That's correct. Tip: Turn the pads round so that the seam is at the front right (rather than the back left) for an extra bass kick. Maybe isn't entirely as comfortable, but it kicks out a little gap at the back of your ear and brings in a little extra thunder. Try listening to the first 30 secs of Angel by Massive Attack to test it out :)

So have each seam facing the outside of the cups?

Different positions. Original or stock is seam facing headphone port. From there each rotationup adds bass while lessening other parts of freq. I prefer seam at top rear position. Seam at top front has more bass, but I feel it loses more in the midrange cleanliness at that position. Try all four positions, and see what you like

Thanks! I'll give this a try now.

The Diana TC is pretty close to what I have been looking for in a headphone - great detail, impactful bass, sound slightly forward, light and comfortable, top notch build, usable stock cable.

Agreed. It’s near perfect for me. It’s basically my only headphone at this point. (Only expensive one anyway)

Also, I highly recommend beautiful audio’s headband for the Diana’s, it takes the comfort to another level. So plush.

I agree. The beautiful audio's headband is what the stock abyss is missing out on. Solved all my comfort issues. ^^

Until now the DTC with bass ported adapters (or pads) is my favorite headphone. Already had an Arya V2, HE1000V2 Stealth, Utopia 2023, DCA Expanse... The only thing I am not entirely happy with is the soundstage. For me that's still hifiman territory but Abyss is simply much more fun.

Let's just say the inlays would not be easy to remove.
