@Svstem my comments concerning the V281 concerns it's sonic character.
Notice how it's output power drops with decreasing impedance. This is a soldi state amp, but it doesn't act like one, and it certainly wasn't designed for planars of today.
All amps will decrease output power with decreasing impedance at some point. They are not made of infinite current after all.
Of course the important thing is to look at the power output at the impedance of the headphone at hand. At 32ohm the V281 already has about double the power compared an amp your company recommends. As you kindly noted the V281 has a lot of voltage swing on tap so with the 40ohm impedance of diana V2 it's power output is only gonna get higher. (Of course the same could be happening with the broadway but it's specs are more limited, so i can't tell from that).
