Hi all. Thinking of pulling the trigger on one of these, but had a couple of questions:

1. It appears the player needs the memory card to be exfat format for playing music, but for firmware updates it needs to be fat32. Is that correct? Sounds a bit incvonenient if so
2. How well would this likely match with ThieAudio Prestige Ltd? What would be the best gain setting?
3. In the wake of the recent limited edition, is there any reason to think this player is nearing the end of its lifespan and we may see a replacement model soon?

Got my DTR1 LE for about a month and I feel that it's a fantastic DAP. For some reasons, it pairs really well with my Softears Turii Ti (which I haven't been using for a long time and was about to put it up for sale) and now it is the most enjoyable pairing I have in my possession and that includes comparing all my other iems pairings with Listening M1 and other DAPs. Earlier, another member also mentioned that DTR1 LE finally made him appreciate his 634ears iem. It seems that there is something musical about DTR1 LE with single DD iem. Everything sounds right, engaging and realistic. I have a pair of 634ears TX02 coming too, hope it will sound just as good as the Turii Ti!

Luckily, I got a DTR1+ Limited Edition (Stainless Steel) recently from an Audiophile who has too many toys and would like to sell it to me as I missed it when it was launched. The sound is very lovely paired with my Penon IMPACT IEM , and I am stunned by its power—the DTR1+ Limited Edition can drive my HD800 effortlessly for classical Music!

So sad that Dethonray just released about 30 units as this model should reserve excellent sales with its sonic performance and incredibly low price. I am looking for Anson, founder of Dethonray, will release the DTR2 very soon!

Dtr2 if ever will exist, will be the dtr1 sucessor , i doubt it will be better than this LE , this thing is simply awsome, this hobby is a never ending storie , you bought this small marvel a few time ago and you not even enjoy it at 100% and you are allready asking for dtr2....Enjoy music

Just received a DTR1+ and loving it. Does anyone know of any comparisons of the player and the QLS QA361 and/or the Aune M1S/P?
