There is no comparison to the other u mentioned, I tried them both and the only worthy keeper is the dtr1.
If you are loving the dtr1+, then I don’t find the point in comparing with other player.
I would encourage you to enjoy what you have and see how you would achieve the experience in its fullness, may be add an amp or pairing it with different item or headphone.
I have tried the newly launched Lotoo GT2 and compared with DTR1+LE, my impression of the GT2 vs DTR1+LE is:
Regarding the driving power:
the GT2's 4.4mm input is roughly the same as the DTR1+LE's 3.5mm for my Penon IMPACT IEM, which is a 4EST + 10BA 14-driver Hybrid IEM, both used HIgh gain and volume at 50 for playing the Carimina Burana (the 1st & 2nd tracks). and other songs
Regarding the sound:
Pro of GT2:
When using 4.4mm, GT2 sounds very clean and transparent and the resolution of GT2 is a little bit better than DTR1+LE, it maybe because GT2 uses the latest DAC chipset AKM AK4499EX ×2 and is good for Classical music.
Con of GT2:
The size of the GT2 is quite bulky
The asking price of GT2 is pricey
When using 3.5mm, the resolution and the extension to both ends of GT2 dropped significantly, and it sounded less dynamic. On the contrary, 3.5mm of DTR1+LE does not have this issue (I am using a 4.4 to 3.5mm adaptor cable for my Penon IMPACT to insert into the 3.5mm input of DTR1+LE and the GT2)
Although the resolution of GT2 is a bit better, it sounds less emotional when listening to female vocals and strings
By the way, is there any chance for any Dethonray be it + or LE or a future one to be easily available up for grab? It's nice reading from you, but it more and more reads like something that may never happen anyway...

I have a DTR1+ and the original DTR1 on the way. I will probably be putting one up for sale, so I can post here first, in case anyone has an interest and wants to message me re. buying.

Just picked up a DTR1+ in SS, can't wait to get my hands on it!
EDIT: Still on the lookout for a case could only find a rather unattractive blue case on Hifi Go- any suggestions would be most appreciated!
Interesting to see a comparison between GT2 and the DTR1+ they are very different beasts with their respective strengths and weaknesses.
When portability is not a priority I, personally, still reach for the GT2 as it still wins in SQ terms. The Lotoo is super dynamic sounding and packs a punch too.
Unexpected GOOD sound when pairing a Astell&Kern × Campfire Audio Pathfinder with DTR1+ Limited Edition, even with the stock cable!
I was told that the sound of Pathfinder is a bit on the bright side with the stock cable to some people, but paired with a little bit warm sound DTR1+LE, it is a remarkable synergy.
The sound is of good sound stage, very resolving, distintive and attractive highs, good vocals and fast & tight punch with very good control. Overall, this combo provides me a vibrant sound that is very enjoyable!
Out of curiosity, I added the legacy Dethonray Class A HA-2 amp. to the mighty DTR1+ LE(Limited Edition) to drive the Forte Ears Macbeth, it sounds more open, better separation and tightened slam than drived by DTR1+LE alone.
It just like you upgrade your Hifi system from an integrated amp. to a Preamp plus power amp.
