Hey guys,

I was wondering if someone has both of these and can compare them for me. I'm looking for a new headphone, for use at home. I would like it to be closed / semi-closed though, so I don't disturb others too much. I like bass, but I don't want the mids to suffer. I would like the mids to be as least recessed as possible. The treble should be nice and sparkly. I had a modded D2k, I was wondering whether the Ultrasone is a better choice or not.

If you have any other slightly bass-heavy headphones to suggest, please go ahead!

Thanks!
Jimmy

I tested the K550, pro 9's, D2k's, hdj 2000's, and beats pro before I finally decided on the pro 9's. My ranking of them would be Pro 9's, D2k's, K550, pios, then beats. I mostly listen to jungle. I have a pair of LA-D2000's being made. I missed the warmth of the D 2k's but I think they need to be moded quite abit to get to their full potential where the Pro 9's really only need a couple of small tweaks. The pro 9's are fairly cold sounding.
