Yeah, but did I mention mine would come sprinkled with "Goobly" dust?

Well, I was so used to spending around $600 (owned 2), so I certainly wouldn't spend more than $650 for them even discontinued. I sold my second one after they were discontinued for the same price I bought them. I think its BS that people would try to sell for more than they bought them for. Unless they were discontinued many years ago.

Here's hoping the Fostex TH600 is a rebadged D7000 that is soon sold neear that price range.

Good luck, sadly you won't find any for 650 unless you are really lucky like the guy who bought one off ebay where the listing was misspelled making it harder to find. I just found a Mint set from a guy who was the original owner, cups have no scratches at all for 850 and that is a steal for what they are going for now.

Is there anyone who can restore my very used denon d7000?

I've had them since 2009 and the headband is showing quite a bit of wear from use. I would really like to have someone return it to factory specs if possible.

they're going for $1200 plus.

Maybe for like a NIB deadstock find. I was watching the market pretty closely for a month or so.
Really good well take care of or lightly used sets averaged anywhere from 880-980 ish.
I am sure I did not see each and every auction though.

I found a pair locally that where aesthetically perfect and sounded like I remembered. Box and everything I got them for 840.
With Mint sets going on ebay for 950+ not including shipping, I think I got a good deal and am a happy owner :)

They're still going for $600 at DakMart, refurbished by Denon with full packaging and warranty. My pair was great, call first to make sure that they have stock or if you want to use Paypal.

Nah, I think once I get the X1 or D7000, I'm bowing out of Headfi. Ive owned the D7000 twice and the HE400 twice. With the K702 Aniversary as my main balanced can, I only need one fun can, and then I'd be done. The sole reason I gave up the D7000 was because they didnt have velour padding. I may just have to pay someone to skin the top half with some velour, because the D7000 was always my end game can otherwise.
