You said the D7000 were the more musical of the three... and the more 'fun'.
Isn't it about music... and enjoyment?
Sounds like a no-brainer. Unless you have a specific 'use' or need for either of the others.

Ask Dr. Freud about it... and the thighs.

I agree, although sometimes a person's musical genre of choice tend to lead towards a more natural / realistic presentation.  I do wish I still had my T1 / HD800 for downtempo and accoustic though.

My D7000 and I just got back from Victoria's Secret.

No to all of those uses. They provide basically no isolation.

Is the clamping force and isolation on these more, less, or the same as the D2000?

Yes. D2000, 5000, 7000... all more or less the same physical architecture. More isolation than the 'Semi-Open' DT880, but not by much. Skylab's absolutely correct... and besides, I would NEVER travel with mine (except to a meet or a friends house). They're big and too easily scratched. If you need full-sized travel cans look at the SRH840, M50, etc...

I would not pay more than $700.00 for these since deals are very regularly found for even less.  Look back through some of the more recent comments and see where folks got theirs.  I got mine through amazon for $651.00.  Some have gotten better deals though.
