Yesterday when I noticed that my card had been charged I checked J&R's order web page and at that point (6:10 pm EST) it still had them Back Ordered. I couldn't call (After 6) so I posted here.

Early this morning they sent me a shipping notice. I should have them tomorrow

Breaking-In as I type. I'm not sure that I ever actually auditioned the 7000's before. Now that I think about it, it was the 5000's that I heard at a meet. Right out of the box (The box is a waste), they are impressing me. If these get better with break-in I'll be extremely happy, cause they don't suck now

Believe me, they WILL improve. I wasn't so impressed on the demo pair but it had only couple of hours under its belt. I burned in the pair for a week and it got noticeably better.

How are you guys out of the country receiving them tomorrow? I live here in the US and I don't receive mine until Friday.

I'm in Virginia Beach right now and that's where they ship, so it's pretty close to J&R.
I don't know if they would even ship to Germany.

I saw that J&R still had them listed in stock today so I gave a call to them. They said that their lowest price was $899. Then I referenced head-fi and told him that people had got them under $600. The guy said he needed to talk to talk to his manager because he had never heard of prices that low. He came back and told me he could price match any authorized dealer's advertised price but that was it. I guess I should have ordered them before they were actually in stock. It seems that they were just trying to get enough order to have Denon ship them a batch. Now that they are in stock, they don't want to sell at the low price. I could be wrong though.

Oooo That seems a little harsh. I could see them asking more because they have already tied up money in inventory but $374 more is harsh. Maybe you'll have to wait for them to be out of stock and then go through the waiting game.

I'd expect that you should be able to find them in the 6-7 hundred range fairly easily. I'm still amazed that J&R did them at all for under $600.
