Thanks brother. Right after i replied to your post, i actually figured it out. I am actually enjoying the new firmware. I am digging the new spacious sound. Low end slam might have taken a shallow dip but the clarity is much appreciated. Will keep the new firmware until denafrips realease the another one with all the improvements minus the sonic differences. You must connect to the page with the password Denafrips sent you.
Then follow the procedure to download the firmware ver. 1.0 as you did with version 3.0.
Repeat the installation procedure.
I've already put the 1.0 version back but took it off after a few minutes because I didn't like the sound anymore. Too much bass.
Surely my ears got used to the new sound.
Maybe later I'll put the ver. 1.0 for more critical listening.

Guys one question.
I have updated the Pontus firmware to ver. 3.0 (usb driver ver. 3.12|PF22F3.3)
At this point, after connecting it to my Hermes via i2s, the detected driver version is 3.12 H1.8
Do you think this is normal?

Still here ?So, I have sold all of my previous DACs (the last one was 2x ESS9038 LKS MH-DA004) and returned to Denafrips! And I've got this beautiful Denafrips 'Pontus' (many thanks to Vinshine Audio and personal to mr.Alvin). Now we starts Denafrips Russian Tour with Pontus. Many reviews are coming soon!
