Dapper for Mac updates: App to sync iTunes with your DAP

V2.52 just released on App Store thx

It's works according to the new check box "Use as DAP top Directory name" ! But... there are some issues :
  1. choosing "Album" option, the structure doubles the album name (twice) --> the [album artist] is replaced by [album], but the structure remains with 2 level, second one w/ [album] !!
  2. the folder.jpg is not in the right directory
  3. iif the "Capitalize names, lower case extensios" is choosen, a "." is generated at the end of 1st level structure

Are you sure the . is not there in the Artist properties in iTunes?
 
I think I need to fix the folder one :)

Ahh poop - I found a deep bug.
 
Turns out nobody is actually sorting on Album Artist right now, they're sorting on Artist. This means that the "fix" will cause changes to every user. The upside, it'll be fixed.
 
2.53 will remove the period thats there, and will properly look at Album Artist and fix the folder.jpg

All,
 
I'd like your help to inform others about your experience (good or bad) with Dapper.
 
We typically get one review for Dapper a month or so on the App store.  (I have over 800 people using Dapper and less than 20 added a review). Unfortunately each time I submit a new version, the reviews get reset, and the result is no reviews.
 
It also seems like most of the folks who submit reviews are the one who are not happy and don't bother contacting me for help.
 
Please take the time to click the star rating in the App Store, or write a short review if you have the time.
 
When there is a new version, you'll see the little heart show up on the top right hand corner of the app - click it to be taken to the reviews page, its really simple to update your review - you don't have to start over.
 
If you feel inclined, you can View in Mac App Store to rate it and write a review.

Yes, the period bug and wrong path for folder.jpg file are fixed, thx

But the "double" path for [album] is not fixed (see below). This improves not the bowing experience in the DAP

Let me take a run at this next!

Its sort of expected because Dapper is doing exactly as you ask and replacing Artist with album.

Please also be aware that with composer names the paths may get very long and Im not sure how the various players will like this.

OK, could be... But one can say it is not really "handy" ??
My "original" request was to have 1 level structure (album/name) and not 2 levels (artist/album/name)... I agree this cannot be "automatically" done par just selecting the tag for sorting :frowning2:
