Either one should be fine, and you are comparing two very different devices at two very different price points. Take the Diablo if you need portable.Wonder which amp will be better for my stealth

I use at home a monolith THX887 with the Stealth and no issue at all with low and ultra low frequencies, same with Less Bx2+ on the way. M8v2 and Kann Alpha fail to provide enough clear juice, though volume button is only at 75% or 80% of the Max available.
I loved the Stealth with the Topaz actually
That was the source I used for my initial impressions.
I agree......with the 4.4mm balanced sounds nearly perfect

Yes i own also the TT2....but with Topaz the tonality is much much better controlled...i think the reason is the balanced connection

I am now on 12 o clock....Neal schon.....100db

NOMAX
PS.this Headphone will stay very very long on the Top in my Collection next to my Utopia and HE1

It's 2 hours now I am in a train, and I think passive noise cancelling in a TGV is quite good, we can keep the volume at a reasonable level without being disturbed by the train noise.

You should try Max Richter's Cradle to the Grave track and tell us how it is with the bass and sub-base between 40" and 1'20". It would be a good news if it's not mostly clipping with Topaz even at a reasonable volume level.

Actually that is an interesting comparison! Both Balanced, one much larger footprint and 1/3rd the price... how much fidelity do you lose to be portable?!Wonder which amp will be better for my stealth

I've heard many, including Dan himself, make the case for M-scaler/TT2 over the Dave for pairing with the Stealth. Cannot recall why exactly.I’m familiar with that, as I have also come across a few IEMs that definitely love more power, but yeah, this is how I usually test out headphones for my first listen, if I don’t like how it sounds with transportable gear, unfortunately it ain’t for me (saves me quite a bit of money) but of course down the line I’d grab “better” more “powerful” sources. But yeah, I think my listening threshold usually doesn’t go higher than 70dB it usually floats around the 65dB mark. But when testing gear, I for sure go higher than that most times
I’ll drop by to listen to the Stealth again with other sources. Probably gonna give it a go on the Dave.

This track is very far from what "Cradle to the grave" track needs for low and ultra frequencies.

It is a pity I couldn't test it on DX300MAX - I sent it to its new owner yesterday only about an hour before your post.I use at home a monolith THX887 with the Stealth and no issue at all with low and ultra low frequencies, same with Less Bx2+ on the way. Thats really easy to say why....the integrated headphone amplifier in the Dave is

PS.TT2 is build for Headphones...Dave was created for Loudspeakers

RIP my wallet. Please observe a moment of silence.

I am sorry for your loss!Sadly, whilst at my dealer I accidentally placed a deposit on a benchmark dac3L and hpa4. Eta 4 weeks aprox.
DAC2 was released in 2012, DAC3 in 2016, I feel like a DAC4 must be imminent. Hoping for you that's not the case
