Currently I have the Fiio E5 which I have yet to use on my newly gained Sr125i grado's (home on break, amps back in my dorm) yet without a shadow of a doubt I am hedging to bet these will not succeed in furfilling the full Grado sound. I mostly listen to metal/rock/indie music and listen to 70% of my music from my macbook, but use my ipod quite often as well. Was wondering if you guys could recommend a relatively cheap (150 bux is as high as I could go) amp/dac which would work wonders from both my 120 GB ipod class and macbook. I've tried all the Prestige Grados and I can safely tell you an amp is not necessary for them.

I found an E5 did nothing for me.I suggest a s/h ibasso D2+Boa, for your budget.I use the dac on my pc,and the amp when mobile,both work well with my sr325i's,also a better battery life than my mini 3.

this is why this site is annoying, the PA2v2 has done wonders for my grados and some guy says that an amp will do nothing. It did a helluva lot.

Just saw your post...I was going to say, I have been using a PA2V2 and its been fantastic with my 325is...also been running it fr three weeks now without having to charge the batteries...

Anyone saying grados wont benefit from amping / appropriate source is dead wrong.  I have a 500 dollar desktop dac/amp setup that blows my mind with all my headphones including the grados.
