I had almost forgotten about these guy. Thanks for bringing them up. I grew up in their area of origin, but I can't bring myself to say one nice thing about them. There was a time that I liked him... Then I started listening to real electronica, real rock, and real trip-hop and realized he was a pale combination of the three that doesn't do justice to any of them.

As anyone, I'm quite secure in my personal taste. I have no problem posting my opinion. It may not always be popular but that ceratainly doesn't affect the way I feel.

And obviously, from my point of view, the folks that slagged my personal favorites are "wrong", but certainly entitled to their opinion, after all, I asked for it!

Eventually, the conversation grew flaccid and ostentatiously humble: someone mentioned Moby.

I used to hate myself for hating everything but then I learned to love my hateful side (until self-hate-love grew tedious, of course). Then, suddenly, I was able to stand outside myself and rose to a lofty vantage, where I watched Moby spend a quiet evening at home feeding his Himalayan Setter, "Quietude," an entire dish of tea-flavored vegan mock-pork. The animal was appreciative but hideously malnourished. After that, M. spun techno-lite in the tepid Ken Ishi vein.
