Cowon Plenue 2 - Taking it a step further.

I have the P2 and the DX200. They are real close. DX200 with amp8 puts it ahead in my opinion. P2 still is fantastic though. If those are your choices I would try to listen to the DX150 with amp 8. I think the P2 may still be better. You can do so much with the sound of P2 to make it fit your listening style. Good luck!

Fast and clear question.
Which one is better sounding: Plenue 2 or ibasso dx150?

i demoed both, if you want a more neutral sounding i find Plenue 2 is good, if you want vocal boost its the ibasso DX150 didnt tried with the AMP 8.
i am still debating it myself found a good deal $1400 for plenue 2 but it still cost more than the DX150 which is $635 and if i add a amp 8 its about $1k+ and a 4.4mm cable which is = to $1.4k

I leave the setting off. I find it made the sound slightly fake & less involving.

Update went fine. Music files still there, unit still works.

I am so happy I have purchased and got Cowon Plenue 2
Purchased online new but unfortunaly shrink wrap came to me a little open on one side
Update: I opened it found a Cowon plenue 2 inside (barcode removed for privacy)
however did not have protection sticker on the screen, dust inside leather case (got dust away)
This is new acording the shop

As long as the other 3 sides are sealed, I wouldn't worry. Open and enjoy! I own a PM2 and it's wonderful!

I am so happy I have purchased and got Cowon Plenue 2
When it arrived I see that the shrink wrap on one of the side is opened a bit is not totaly sealed
was yours like this?, i was told it was new and sealed when purchased it
Thats it a bit opened worry me a bit (removed the serial so you not see it)

If inside is new then not to worry Plenue devices are really well built

I have played with it now Cowon Plenue 2 is a wonderful player, happy i got it.
worry me there is no screen protector placed on screen or back of it.
shop say it came like that from distribuitor.
minute 1.00 on This video avaible on internet show it should have screen protector
On mine however there was no screen protector placed on screen
Cowon must have forgot to put screen protector on it before leaving factory?

Do Cowon plenue 2 has Eu volume limitation,hopefully not?
When turn on plenue 2 for first time i did not get a choice for Language/region English usa
which i remember I did on all my cowon players to get volume louder.
player just turned on without language choose first time.
Anything i can do to Erase the Eu sound limitation?

"when country is set to countries other than eu countries"

Hey How do i set the country on Plenue 2, did not get this option when turning on player first time
i want to set it to English usa, from cowon qoute:

This is a function used to set the function on/off on whether to reset the volume when
earphones are removed from the device for hearing protection. This Hearing Protection
Setting is only possible when the country is set to countries other than EU countries.

I have the silly volume thing. Each time I turn it on, the volume is fixed low & I have to turn it up. It's getting more annoying each time I use it.

If anyone knows a fix, I'd be very pleased!

Can i use the official cowon wall charger i use for Cowon Plenue R for my new Plenue 2?
when i am in the other house and not have my pc with me
I want to use a Wall charger to charge plenue 2, it charge Plenue R fine

I have official cowon wallcharger (pic bellow), I'm Europe:
INPUT 100-200 V 50/60HZ 0.3A
OUTPUT +5V 1A

Plenue 2 acept it, then light flash in red and white during charge
not same as usb charging from pc when red light stay idle quiet during charge.
is this red and white blinking normal during wall charging?

Sorry i had to ask this since i dont know what to do
I can charge plenue 2 from Pc at home but in other house need use wall charging
without my desktop pc there.
