I've had these for a few years in my closet and don't remember what it is that's special about these. Note that the driver housing is completely wooden, and the wood color is darker than the bamboo (just looks strangely light in these photos). Everything I see online has a wooden housing up until where the connectors connect whereas these are wooden all the way there and around.

The earpads are aftemarket but headband is original. Original earpads were the same material as the headband but were peeling so had to be swapped.

I am trying to figure out how to price them for sale.

Thanks to anyone with this random knowledge! What do I have here?

Is the serial number not listed on the inside of the other headband or in the box it came with? If you get the serial Audeze can tell you all about it.

Judging by the connectors also being wood, that is a very early gen LCD-2. If you do not have the box, the certificate of authenticity, the inner side of the headband on the blocks, you'll have to peel off the pads and provide us with the serial numbers on each driver.

Email support@audeze.com for assistance.

The headband alone lets you know that this is a pre-2016 model. The wooden connectors show that this is a pre-2014 model. If you run your hands inside the ear cup and it feels rigid then you will know it is a fazor model that would place it around Post 2012. If on the inside of the earphone it feels smooth and not rigid. Then you can date this as a pre-2012 model. If I had to guess this would be a pre-fazor Audeze LCD-2 2.1 version. I am not a Audeze expert and don't have the years memorized by heart, but I do believe the wooden connectors and fazor model information will give you the correct year. I look forward to hearing what you come up with and if I was close.
