I don't find the CE6P bright and airy but rather warm and smooth.  I think one of the 4 driver models may be more what you are looking for, at least that's what I gather from previous impressions.  Maybe this will help a bit: http://cymbacavum.com/2015/04/25/quick-thoughts-cosmic-ears-ce6p-smooth-seduction/

Edit: The UE4 is considered a baby UERM by many.

Thanks for the link. My conclusion is that the CE6P is not for me then. It was very helpful :)

I will investigate the UE4. I havn't considered it until now.

i don't think it's airy either. Just an input for you, if you are looking for bright, airy and quite flat sound signature, I can recommend you Vision ears VE3. Some said the sound signature is similar to UERM, but VE3 has more bass, and slightly more fun sounding in comparison to UERM. The advantage for EU based buyer: no import tax.

Look nice but they are expensive!

Indeed, because of the filled acrylic shell. I was considering H8P and VE3, but because it's made in germany, and the beautiful build quality, I ordered VE3. Price wise it's about 2x UE4 (with tax), but i don't think UE4 can compete with it.

what i wanted to say is, CE6P doesn't have that 3D, big, airy soundstage, which is the reason why I ordered VE3

Yes, it was VERY helpful too. Thanks! I did not get to listen to the Rhines IEM's in Essen. But I should have done so I guess. There was also another German manufacturer, that impressed me much. It was particularly the StageDiver 2 from InEar.de. It was clear and crisp and just my taste of tuning. I have been tempted to go for it as well and pay the extra to have it produced as customised fit.

I hope Cosmic Ears will be present at the next CanJam(s) so I can have a chance to listen to them and compare.

oh yes, you should've done it. I was actually wanting to order VE5, but due to sudden changes (IEMs breakdown) I opted for cheaper option, but they do have upgrade option. And yes, I've heard SD2 ( my friend's stage monitor), it has spacious soundstage, and really good for acoustic session.

Btw, I believe CE wouldn't be presenting their lineups at the next canjam

I don't see in their website Hybrid customs (dynamic + BA), so i was wondering if they can "reshell" some pair of XBA-H3's Sony Universals

which feature a huge 16mm dynamic and two BA's

I'm about to reshell the Ba4'.
Is there an upgrade to the newer Ce4?
