Hi all,
Currently my setup is the following
PC with Creative THD + Fiio E6 -> HD600.

I am mainly listening to classical music.

I am considering to upgrade my system. Anyone can tell me except getting louder volume, what else can I expect by adding a Schiit Asgard?

And, what will change if I further add a Bifrost DAC?

Thanks a lot!

That's quite a HUGE upgrade step.

If i recall the Fiio E6 is under $50 while the Asgard is $240 and bifrost is roughly 400 depending on USB or not.

While i have no experience with the HD600 or both Schiit products i think i can speak for many and say you would see a SIGNIFICANT improvement across all areas with the Schiit combo.

If you do end up going through with it..sorry for your wallet.

I would say to stick with the DAC that's in the T-HD (Titanium HD) and just get an external headphone amplifier and plug it into the RCA outputs on the T-HD.
For $80-$90 you can get a decent single tube headphone amplifier, off eBay, ships from China.
Or a Little Dot I+Hybrid or a Little Dot II or the O2 (Objective 2) headphone amplifier.

Compared to my E11, the Asgard has a much warmer and smoother sound to it. I personally find it to be a large (and much nicer) difference. I haven't added a Bifrost yet, but am planning on it ASAP.
