Comparison: Denon AH-D2000, AH-D5000, and Headphile "Darth Denon"

Skylab, any chance of adding the D1000 to comparison for completions sake? While it won't be as good as the others, it'd be interesting to hear how close or how different it is.

Not unless someone wants to loan me one. Having just placed an order for a Blue Circle Audio SBH headamp and a pair of Senn PXC450's, I am kinda tapped out on hobby funds at the moment...

Then, Skylab, you'll have to follow policy and sell something. Most likely the Amboyna Burl pair will go to the chopping-block. The guy from the Great State of Conn. should become interested as they'd be a perfect pairing with his Screened Snake Darths. If you've noticed - each pair has exactly the same palette of colorations.

Busy testing that concept right now. So far the bass is panel beating my head, pretty much a polar opposite of the K1000 if ever there was one. Further listening/punishment needed before I make a final call on whether or not it is complementry.

I just read the individual reviews on Resellerratings re TwisterGroup. YIKES. They're worse than the overall ratings figures suggest. Downright scary-bad. I often check the resellerratings when thinking of using an unfamiliar vendor, and will sometimes take a chance with a vendor having ratings lower than this.............but there are recurring themes that do not allow any consideration of this vendor at any price as far as I'm concerned.

I'm pretty sure the D5000 has four wire...I cut the plug off my D2000 a couple days ago to reterminate it with xlr, and it had 4 wires. I'm going to just recable it after I get my Beta22 finished.

-edit- white and black pair is left, red and black pair is right (if it's colored the same in D5000)...not that it really matters

I can confirm that those are indeed the correct wire colors inside the d5000's cable
