  My copy of the Takacs set arrived yesterday.  Although not SACD, it does include a 24/48 Blu-Ray with the entire cycle.  


I've seen that set advertised. I might go for the hi-res downloads to save space. as I already have several other complete sets on CD/SACD.

Paul Galbraith's new recording of transcriptions of Mozart and Bach wonderfully played on his 8-string guitar. Superb sound.

Really? I have it too. You should also try the Italiano, Prazak, Berg, and Tokyo (1990s).

I'm gonna listen to Quatuor Ebene playing Beethoven string quartets in about 3hrs, live that is.

I have the ones you mentioned and others, except for Prazak.I like most Beethoven SQ I have for different reasons. The list of the ones I don't care for is pretty short, Emerson & Artemis come to mind
 
I'll give Prazak a go, thanks for reminder
