I've only just bought the Mojo 2 but I'm using the FiiO LT-LT3 cable. Seems very flexible so imagine it will last. Anyone else with long term experience of this cable?
I've been using the cable (and w/ Mojo 2) since it was introduced, it's a fine cable. No sign of wear at all.I've only just bought the Mojo 2 but I'm using the FiiO LT-LT3 cable. Seems very flexible so imagine it will last. Anyone else with long term experience of this cable?
I don't particularly like tube amps, but was just wondering if the Mojo 2 has sufficient power to power a HD800S. I was going to use a parametric EQ like Equalizer APO to boost the lower end and tame the highs a bit.You can. But the bass would be anemic. Put HD800s on a cheap tube amp like TA-26 and you’ll see how much more low end you’ll have.
The adapter still fits mojo 2, which is why you still have 2 micro ports on the mojo 2. Not sure if the adapter pack is still sold though.
No dont think it is but it should be. If they could just make the module available on its own i imagine they would shift loads. It would help a lot of folk out. Anyone at chord reading this.?.The adapter still fits mojo 2, which is why you still have 2 micro ports on the mojo 2. Not sure if the adapter pack is still sold though.
HD800s has very thin sound and almost no bass on Mojo2.I don't particularly like tube amps, but was just wondering if the Mojo 2 has sufficient power to power a HD800S. I was going to use a parametric EQ like Equalizer APO to boost the lower end and tame the highs a bit.
Yes on #1 (I use that configuration and it works). Can’t comment on Apple Music as I don’t use that service much. Can I just clarify something if you wouldn't mind?
1. Am I correct in saying that a Poly will allow me to Airplay from my Mac and iPhone to the Mojo 2 at 24/48 Lossless if my local files are 24/48?
2. Am I also correct that if I use Apple Music it will be converted to 256 AAC first for some reason?
TIA
Great, thanksYes on #1 (I use that configuration and it works). Can’t comment on Apple Music as I don’t use that service much.
Mojo 2 EQ is likely betterI don't particularly like tube amps, but was just wondering if the Mojo 2 has sufficient power to power a HD800S. I was going to use a parametric EQ like Equalizer APO to boost the lower end and tame the highs a bit.
What EQ settings would you use?Mojo 2 EQ is likely better
Second that. The one time I tested them I thought they drove them quite well (compared to the Burson desktop amp on hand). But to be fair - the base was somewhat "anemic" with both amps...You can. But the bass would be anemic. Put HD800s on a cheap tube amp like TA-26 and you’ll see how much more low end you’ll have.
It sounds like the battery has shut down before the FPGA silently shuts everything down - this is very unusual. But the pop will certainly not damage your headphones.
HD800S need bit of a high impedance output to warm them up. To simulate this with Mojo, increase subbass eq +5db, increse basseq + 1db, decrease midhi -1db (or -2db) and top high -1db. Mojo 2 has very good control for a portable with the Sennheisers, it just more of a tonality issue.HD800s has very thin sound and almost no bass on Mojo2.
If you are boosting the lower end a bit and taming the highs, id start with the shelf filters, #’s 2 and 3. Use judiciously of course. Can fine tune with 1 and 4, the bass and treble peak filters. What EQ settings would you use?
Do you use with Dap or iphone?I have not had this problem with DD MFi09S
