I very much doubt it..since they can add additional usb c port at the bottom of the micro usb data port on Mojo 2

I'm inclined to believe Rob Watts, the actual designer of the product:

The intent was to put two charging ports in - micro and USB C. However, it was impossible to fit the extra USB C charging port - USB C connectors are quite large and deep.

Here is with airplay receiver function if you have iphone. I bought the ugreen BT adapter from local market, I cannot find the same model in amazon sorry. The airplay receiver have optical out, so I use it with short 20 cm optical cable.

The sound of Mojo 2 + BT adapter is significantly better than any Bluetooth dac amp i have before, although the combination make it a bit bulky than the likes of Qudelik 5k, and Go Blu.




I am amazed at some people who thinks their brand as religion and their brands engineer/designer as like a prophets.
While I respect Mr Watts and listen to his lecture frequently, I believe he has a corporate interest and integrity that need to be safeguarded.

Which model do you have? This one doesn’t have a battery.

Some time ago I did the above, since then the Xduoo has been discontinued.
But frankly, I hardly used it, I did it as an experiment.
Point is, Mojo, Mojo2, Hugo2 etc. all are wired devices, in the sense that you need a wired headphone or earphone to use with them.
Also, unlike BTR7 they are not small enough to clip to ones's jacket or shirt either.
Just get a longer, thinner USB cable. It would free up your phone, so you can pick it up, check your messages while you listen to your music.
These devices are "sound quality above all else", BT would cut into that.

Xduoo hasn't had it for good sometime.

I am using this one. It is only available on Shopee Malaysia. You might need to search on AliExpress market for this one. I like this one. It has auto turn off features whenever Bluetooth is disconnected. So if I turn off BT from my phone, it turn off on own and subsequently Mojo 2 too.

Funny story, I able to order the last one off from local vendor. On the day the parcel supposed to be arrive, the delivery truck had an accident and all of the delivery boxes was thrown out into the river, including my xduoo bt adapter. . And now it is not available on my country and Xduoo don't even make it anymore.

We know the design brief called for the two micro ports to stay for Poly compatibility so no comment about a USB-C charging port would mean instead of the micro charge port which the Poly needs.

So what he logically was meaning was they considered using 4 USB ports but didn’t have the space for the last one.

How utterly absurd would 4 ports USB ports have been !

If starting from scratch I can’t see any way in the world that a Mojo chassis could not fit two USB-C ports, even if it meant using a combined 3.5mm coax and optical port instead of the current 3.5mm coaxial and full size optical. And frankly the Mojo 2 didn’t have to be the same size as the original if ignoring the Poly.

This is all meaningless because they didn’t design it that way and the Mojo 2 is what it is.

Some love it and strongly defend any criticism to the point of being a bit OTT I think but there you go.

Others like me didn’t buy one on principle and are happy with that decision. There are a bunch of competent alternatives out there despite the incredible sonic experience that some would attribute to the Mojo 2.

Some would say that audio through BT is a crime against humanity. It wasn't built for that purpose, no less proper quality audio. A different medium should be being used.

They could have Airplay build-in. Poly is a 10years device, and costs more than Mojo2? It’s a crime.

Yeah, it is not that portable, since you need to charge two items. Works for me since I primarily use it for my portable workspace. I wish that Chord have a budget BT solution for Mojo for convenience, but Chord is Chord.

I was using WiiM Mini with Mojo2 for a desktop setup. Almost the same as yours.
