In fact, it's NOT "volume bypass" but "line level" mode.

Output level is 2V then but not maximum (if it was, light indication would be white, but it isn't).

Volume can still be adjusted up or down.

In particular, output can reach 3V as the manual specifies.

The maximum un-clipped output is a little over 5V RMS into a 300 ohm load. The 37v is just a calculated entry on my speadsheet, please ignore that value!

Pressing cross-feed on power up sets it too 3v RMS with 0dBFS input.

Small point, but when the Hugo indicator lights (sample rate etc) shine white or yellow through the lens, do you have a small red 'pixel' shining? Doesn't happen with blue

Yeah, mine has a tiny red dot in the center.  It provides improved SQ!

I don't know if it's sensitivity. Either you hear it or not, no?

So slight, needs silence. I wouldn't have thought, there's hiss before music starts if I hadnt read and listened intently for it on 846s.

well for me it was very noticable so I ended up returning the unit to the factory to check it out...Frankly if you pay this much for a dac you want it to be perfect somewhat. Even my DX90 / alo audio the international didn't have this much hiss with my in ears so it must be an issue with the unit I reckon...
If the issue isn't fixed I'll probably end up returning it to the store.
