Hello
How did you connect the Dx150 with the Hugo2 ? USB ? No issues ?

Could someone use the DX150 as a transport for Hugo 2, by USB connection ?
Some tweaks required ? No issues ?

It's important for me because I plan to buy a DX150 for this purpose, but the seller encountered difficulties to make it work with Hugo 2 by USB (optical and coax being ok)...

Just got the Hugo 2 in after owning the Mojo for about 1 year.

This thing is unreal, best transportable DAC I've ever heard period. This little thing is magic.

Yes, I received one as a trade, loving the sound. Quick question, is there a trick to charging the device? I’m leaving it plugged in overnight, then I attempt to power up, to nothing, it’s only working when connected to power, is there something I’m missing?

Do you mean the charging port, with a cable plugged into the charger overnight?
If it is plugged into the charger, the battery should charge normally.

If instead you mean the usb data cable is left plugged in overnight, then that will not charge the battery.

The only other possibilities that spring to mind, are the battery (or battery management circuit) is not working properly.
Best to contact Chord support, if you suspect either of those causes.

If you have plugged the usb cable from hugo 2s power supply into the correct usb port, the furthest led on the right hand side should be white when charging. After charging for 24 hours it will stop charging and will enter into desktop mode which should turn the power ball magenta.

It looks like its a battery related problem, but only the person who traded it with you and chord can tell you whats wrong. Personally I would shoot the dude you got it from, but thats just me.

I don’t want to jump the gun, had it plugged into the right spot, have a Mojo so I know the drill. The Sellers a good guy, let me keep it plugged in over night and try tomorrow.

Portable stax with hugo 2 dac. Amazing kit. Pioneer dap. Looks like a pelican case for the previous enquiry. The clever ones will be formulating the 2go case from now.
Musickid—is this your rig? What’s you’re view on the Hugo DAC vs the one in the Stax SRM-D10?

Just to confirm again as the question was asked but I don’t see a reply: You are using the Chord Hugo 2 power supply, right? The port requires 2 amps, and the power supply is just barely there at around 1.98 amps. If you use another cable that isn’t quite 2 amps (a lot around around 1.7 amps, despite claiming to be 2) then the H2 won’t charge properly.

I think I’ve figured it out, I’ll charge it overnight and see if it’s an issue with the battery receiving and holding a charge.
