Hugo2 is 450 gr ,so for the people who don't mind a bit of extra weight with them is fine.

5 grams lighter than Sony's NW-WM1Z

I haven't cared for the chip so far, but tap length is 49,152 against ~26,000.

The Tap length of the Mojo is approx twice that of Hugo according to John Franks. The mojo runs at half the speed of the Hugo though.

Yes, you're right – I should have stated «the equivalent of ~26,000 taps».

It certainly doesn't look like Hugo2 will be too portable, so you're probably yet to put mojo and FiiO daps down if you want to walk around with music.

To be honest, Hugo was also better to me ears when compared to Mojo, but between using mojo and FiiO X5ii - it comes to convenience. X5ii sounded good enough to be used alone instead of stacking, when going out

I agree, even the X3 II on its own is good enough for walking and jogging for me (maybe I even prefer it to the X5 II soundwise), and I hate stacking and the weight it adds. Ease of movement is an essential aspect of mobile joy!

What I like to know more is about the "Native DSD" that is emphasised on HUGO II. From what i know HUGO also does DSD but it does it in it well differently. Has the decoding changes when handling DSD files, compared to the original HUGO?

Yes, you're right – I should have stated «the equivalent of ~26,000 taps».

Therefore the double taps of Hugo2 might not be such a big advantage and it only have the same capability as Mojo

No, Hugo 2 will be more capable than Mojo. Of that, you may be quite certain.

And the size.. Hugo is bigger than Mojo, harder to stack and walk / go about daily activities with the stack

1Z is not exactly lightweight when hold in hand either.

You would probably avoid jogging with it either way

My bet would have been on you preferring X5ii since SQ wise. Wondering what makes you prefer X3ii ?

I would like to know if it can be changed at the same time when uses with a laptop.
7 hours battery life is very low,and i am sure that will be lower with DSD 256 or 512 and power hungry headphones.

If I remember well, not only Hugo can be charged while in usage, but it should also be safe to do so.

Hey, the taps in the Hugo² run at double speed compared to the Mojo, so they result in a WTA filter characteristic with almost double the effective quality in terms of signal reconstruction and timing.
