I think my statement leads to confusion. By source I should have said input. No other input... optical or coax sounds as good on the H2 as the usb fed by an ultra low noise source which the EX is.
The AntipodesEX seems very compelling. Wondering if you've ever tried a micro or ultraRendu?

Cheers,
muski

I haven’t but I would like try the ultraRendu as an HQPlayer naa in place of the PI 4 feeding my TT. I have tried a battery pac with the PI but did not hear any improvement. It’s hard to find a dealer here in Canada.

My Hugo 2 gets quite warm when charging, and even more so if playing at the same time.
Is this still an issue for everyone? What's a good solution? Always charge at 5V1A? Always connect to a portable battery so that it stays in desktop mode forever?

Please could someone help? I’m trying to connect my Sony Bluray player to my Hugo 2 through the 3.5mm coax connection. I’ve got a mono coax cable with a mono 3.5mm adapter at one end. When i play hi res from the bd player (BD-Audio disc) the Hugo light glows an odd orange colour rather than the correct colour for the bit rate.
If I only push the 3.5mm connector part way into the Hugo then the Hugo light seems to show the correct colour. I’m guessing it’s an issue with the cable? or could it be a problem with the 3.5mm socket on the Hugo? or am I missing something obvious? Thanks.

I tired a 1A charger and found it did make the Hugo 2 run cooler in desktop mode. I used for a few days. However it wasn't supplying enough current to maintain the right battery level. After a lot of use one time, I noticed that the battery level was quite low.

If you can get a 1.5A that might be good.

Well you didn't tell us what sample rate you think the audio should be.

Isn't some movie audio at 48K anyway though?

Even if the Blu-Ray discs is 96kHz Audio, sometimes with the S/PDIF output of your disc player, you can only get 48kHz out of the disc (Orange) I think it’s some copy protection thing. Sometimes an HDMI audio Extractor can get you the 96kHz audio that you’re looking for. But even that’s not a guarantee.

Is there anyway to dim the LEDs without the official remote? I don't own one and can't find any online retailers that sell the remote?

The 'official' Van Nuys case is nicer than I thought :gs1000smile:

Is there a case that can accommodate the hugo+2go?

There is a guy on Etsy from the Ukraine that custom makes them, but not an official Chord partnered one yet.
